We are proud to announce our inaugural conference including keynote speech by the President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane.

FLANC (Family Law Advice for the Neurodivergent Community) was founded by expert lawyers dedicated to ensuring that the neurodivergent community has equal access to justice by addressing barriers to participation in family proceedings and dispute resolution. We are passionate about increasing awareness and driving change through collaboration and education, across the legal sector and beyond.

With a keynote address from the President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane, the conference will hear insight from professionals and updates from coal-face practitioners and families passing through the system. It will explore current barriers and highlight important work being done to galvanise change and promote best practice.

Chaired by Jenny Beck KC (Hon), speakers include: Professor Rob George of UCL ,who will address research and best practice; Caroline Croft, Barrister from Coram Chambers with a view from the coal-face; and Sarah Cockburn, Cafcass Assistant Service Manager/ Children’s Guardian providing the child’s perspective.

Alia Lewis, Director and Solicitor at Duncan Lewis and Paula McGowan OBE will present ideas for improvement.

RSVP here to attend our event in person or online. Please note that in-person attendance numbers are limited, so apply early to avoid disappointment.
